The new 2020 Ford Explorer has been totally reimagined from the inside out! The 2020 Explorer is ready to take on any road and all adventures, big and small. Keep reading to see why you should get the new Explorer for your next Ford.

Head-Turning Exterior

With a new frontend layout, sleek new headlights, and an overall sharper profile, the new Explorer is the evolution of a legend with a sportier and more stylish attitude. The front grille grew larger while the headlamps are longer and slimmer, as well as swept-back toward the fenders. The new, more sloping roofline, smaller quarter windows, and shorter front overhang all work together to produce one eye-catching machine. The Adaptive LED headlamps turn when you turn aiding in your visibility around corners and helping you to more quickly react to what's around the bend.

Refined Interior

Inside the completely redesigned Explorer, you'll find available interior amenities like tri-Diamond perforated leather seating surfaces, a hexagon carbon-fiber-lined front dash and a precision-engineered center console with a rotary gear shift dial. An available twin-panel moonroof is Ford's largest ever and offers fantastic views to the front and second row. You also have the option of adding a PowerFold third row of seats for when you need it. The available 10.1-inch LCD portrait touchscreen and available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster panel fill the cabin with a refined and dignified look. The Multicontour seats with Active Motion offers five new massage themes for an isolated back massage that focuses on either the upper back, lower back or the pelvic region so you can stay fresh on long drives.

Power and Performance

Combining the best elements of the previous versions, the new 2020 Explorer returns to a rear-wheel-drive layout, but its body retains unibody construction. Standard engine options are a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4, a 3.0L EcoBoost V6, and a 3.3L Hybrid. The 2020 Explorer now offers two all-new high-powered trims. The Explorer ST has an aggressive look that's matched by a powerful 400-hp, twin-turbo engine and driving dynamics engineered by the Ford Performance team. The Explorer Limited Hybrid packs a similar punch, it is a no-compromise hybrid SUV that's engineered for big adventures. Not only is it the only hybrid in its class that can tow 5,000 pounds, it's also fully off-road capable.

On road or off, the 2020 Explorer offers an array of safety features to keep you and your family safe. Auto high-beam headlamps automatically shut off when an oncoming vehicle is detected. The Lane-Keeping System scans the road ahead and can alert you if you start to drift over the line. The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control syncs with the pace of traffic and keeps you centered in your lane for a stress-free drive. Automatic Emergency Braking can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles or pedestrians and, if necessary, apply braking automatically. Wherever you're going, the new Ford Explorer will get you there safely.
