The redesigned 2020 Ford Expedition brings back the King Ranch trim level which boasts a slew of luxurious features and capabilities that highlight the iconic trim level. The rest of the 2020 Expedition lineup has been enhanced for the new model year, as well, with a bevy of advanced new safety, technology, comfort and convenience features. The new model year also features the addition of the attention-grabbing Stealth Edition, Texas Edition, and FX4 Off-Road Package. Standard equipment on the FX4 package include 32-inch all-terrain tires, off-road shocks, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, chrome-plated running boards, and FX4 badges inside and out. Choose from the XLT, Limited King Ranch, and Platinum with the option of adding an extra foot in length on each trim level with the Max trim.

Interior

The 2020 Expedition has plenty of room for up to 8 adults with standard third-row power reclining seats, available second-row tip & slide seats, and best in class second and third-row leg room. There's a huge panoramic vista roof available that features two panels over the first and second rows. You'll find exceptional cargo space inside with a full 104.6 cu. Ft with the second and third rows folded flat, 63.6 cu. Ft behind the second row and 20.9 cu. Ft behind the third. The Expedition Max brings the total storage to 121.5 cu. ft. While a three-seat bench is standard for the second row, a pair of captain's chairs is optional. With three rows of seats and two lengthy body styles, the Expedition and Expedition Max were made to haul people and property-lots of people and property.

 

Performance

Powering the 2020 Expedition is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 mated to a responsive 10-speed automatic transmission and paired with either rear- or all-wheel drive. The XLT and Limited models have a 375-hp version of the V-6, but the top-tier Platinum it's tuned for 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque with an mpg rating of 17 city/24 hwy. The 2020 Expedition is big, powerful and capable with best-in-class mpg and towing. The powerful 3.5L EcoBoost, features two technologies to increase performance and responsiveness: direct injection to help maximize power, and twin air-to-air intercooled turbochargers delivering a surge of on-demand power. The 2020 Expedition features Best-in-Class Towing with class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist. When equipped with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, the Expedition gets a best-in-class towing capacity of 9,300 lbs.

Safety

The 2020 Expedition a five-star crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and has available all the latest driver-assistance tech, including automated emergency braking and lane-keeping assist as standard. Ford Co-Pilot360 provides an advanced suite of standard driver-assist technologies that includes Auto High-Beam Headlamps, BLIS with Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping System and Rear View Camera.
